In July 1980 master photographer, Angus McBean, was interviewed at the Rex Irwin Gallery in Sydney, Australia, in the last week of an exhibition of his photographs, comprising 54 vintage bromide prints from glass negatives, 11 modern prints of Quentin Crisp and 20 of 'The Last Sitting' of Vivien Leigh. At 76 years old, dressed in his trademark handmade tweed overalls, Mr McBean was in sparkling form and gave an entertaining and informative interview about his life and work.
The National Portrait Gallery's retrospective exhibition of Angus McBean's portraits in 2006 has provided the opportunity to screen this interview for the first time.

Internationally acclaimed New Zealand composer Gillian Karawe Whitehead leads us in an exploration of the musical world of the composer-in-residence during her year as the first to live and work at Douglas Lilburn's former home in Thorndon, Wellington. This documentary provides an intimate portrait of one of our most acclaimed composers, allowing us to observe the creative process of composition and collaboration with a range of musicians, composers and other artists.
